Book Review Karl Barth, Evangelical Theology: An Introduction. f 2 In this book review it is my goal to briefly discuss four key areas: i. An overall grasp of the writer’s approach to theology ii. Familiarity with what the writer sees as central to the challenge and method of theology iii. Recognition of the writer's engagement with specific

The book does not delve into doctrine or dogma. Here are a couple of commendations for the book: “Karl Barth was the most dominant theologian of the twentieth century, at once brilliant and baffling, majestic and frustrating. His influence, though, has scarcely waned. That is why this book is important. What we have here are some of the best essays I have read on Barth. Church Dogmatics - Ebook written by Karl Barth.

Oxford University Press, H. Milford, 1933 - Religion - 547 pages. 9 Reviews. Named one of Church Times's Best Christian Books. This volume provides a much-needed English translation of the sixth edition of what is considered the fundamental text for fully understanding Barthianism.

Busch also has a highly acclaimed survey of Barth's theology: The Great Passion: An Introduction to Karl Barth's Theology. Every reader of Barth should read some work by Barth himself (one can begin anywhere but I would recommend the brief and readable God in Action: Theological Addresses or the early book that made him famous The Epistle to the Romans ) and then dive into this biography.
